This is a hospital-based position on our Consult Liaison Psychiatry team at Lancaster General Health – Full time, day time hours
SUMMARY: The Behavioral Health Service Line seeks a qualified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our Consult Liaison Psychiatry team. This team completes psychiatric assessments and recommendations for patients in the Emergency Department and hospitalized patients at Lancaster General and Women’s and Babies Hospitals. Under the supervision of the Chair of Psychiatry, this Nurse practitioner will work on a team with two CL psychiatrists and will collaborate with our Behavioral Health Intervention Team of care managers and care coordinators who conduct assessments and engage in discharge planning. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with autonomy to manage the daily work and to engage with care team members. The ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment is essential.
HOURS: Fulltime, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, no on call requirements at this time but that may be required in the future; no weekend coverage; possible holiday coverage on a rotational basis with other providers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Nurse Practitioner
- Valid Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Certification by ANCC or other qualifying agency in area of specialty required.
- Valid Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license and Certificate of Prescriptive Authority in Pennsylvania.
- Relevant prior work experience in Behavioral Health is preferred.
