Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner - The Surgical Group (Breast Surgery Team)

Job Description
Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Physicians Surgical Group seeks a motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their dynamic, multi-specialty, surgical practice of 15 surgeons and 8 Advanced Practice Providers. The APP will be an integral part of the breast surgery team and will work solely with our 2 dedicated breast surgical oncologists in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. The hospital role will include inpatient rounding, servicing consults/ED referrals, and TOC/discharge planning. The ambulatory role will include supporting survivorship visits, post-operative visits, and urgent care/new patients visits at the Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute. It will also include performing minor procedures. The APP will support benign breast clinic at the practice’s primary location at the Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Suburban Outpatient Pavilion location as well. In both ambulatory settings, the APP will work closely with our breast surgical oncologists, optimizing the care of our patients across disciplines.
Hours: Full-time with hours primarily between 7:00am - 5:00pm. No holidays. No weekends. No call responsibilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Physician Assistant
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant by PA Board of Medicine
- Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant training program
- Minimum one year experience as a Physician Assistant is preferred
Nurse Practitioner
- Valid Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Certification by ANCC or other qualifying agency in area of specialty required.
- Valid Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license and Certificate of Prescriptive Authority in Pennsylvania
- Minimum one year experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred
