Job Description
Penn Medicine LGHP Eichenlaub & May is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our team. The CNM would be responsible for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of nurse midwifery care delivered to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum, and newborn patients. They would perform physical exams, collect and documents data, manages labor and spontaneous delivery, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies and professional consultations, and prescribes appropriate interventions and medications. The CNM practice includes care to uncomplicated gynecological patients as well as to obstetrical patients and their newborns during the antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum periods in the hospital setting. Our CNM’s function independently, but in collaboration with the attending physician and interdisciplinary healthcare team, to provide midwifery services to patients. The CNM should be self-directed, responsible and accountable for clinical practice and also provide continuity, compassionate, culturally sensitive care to patients. Our CNMs interests and responsibilities extend to the community level where they strive to improve maternal/child health from a patient-centered/family-centered approach.

Job Requirements
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse licensure
- Master’s Degree in Nursing
- Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse Midwife licensure
- Minimum one year experience as a certified nurse midwife.
- A health care provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs, i.e. not excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid or any other federal or state health insurance program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking highly preferred).
